There are times in your life when you meet someone who makes a profound impact.  Meet Jen.  She's a wife, a mother, an educator, a staunch believer in equality for all humans, and a cancer survivor.  She's also battling cancer again in a smash mouth way.  Jen refuses to let failed chemo get her down.  She's a warrior, and I am a better person for knowing her.

A few weeks ago I had the immense privilege of capturing Jen and her boys, before the grind of new treatment options and traveling to and from NYC for alternative treatments settles in.  I feel compelled to share her story because as many of you know, treatment and traveling isn't cheap.  And when one is fighting for their life, the last worry on their mind should be finances and the affordability of getting the medical care that could extend her life immeasurably.  Which leads me to a fundraiser that's being held for Jen.  All info is below.  If you're able to attend, awesome!  Contribute with a raffle item, fantastic!  Donate to her GoFundMe, right on!  Let's help Jen KICK CANCER'S ASS!

Bring your mother, your brother, your sister and your friends and join us for an afternoon soirée to benefit Jen Brush and her family! Jen was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer earlier this year and recently retired from her beloved career as a teacher. In addition to her diagnosis, early retirement has been a very emotional thing to process. The support from family, friends and the community at large has been overwhelming and has given Jen the opportunity to focus primarily on her treatment and spending time with her family and friends. We are grateful for each of you who has provided support to Jen and her family during this difficult time and ask for your continued support as Jen explores different treatment options.

Tickets to this event are $25 and will be sold at the door. All proceeds will go directly to Jen and her family. All attendees will receive a $50 gift card to Blush Aesthetics (great to keep or give as a gift) and admission to our skin care education presentation. In addition, the first 25 guests in the door will receive a swag bag of skin care goodies. We will have raffles, giveaways, and snacks. All money received at this event will go directly to Jen and her family as they continue to celebrate life and make memories together.
